Slovakia is a country of diverse
sights. A land blessed with more than it's fair share
of natural beauty, a land of snowy mountains, wild forests,
spas and lakes. In contrast, the thriving cities and
ancient monuments and castles display the unique and
exotic culture of central Europe.
Slovakia (officially called
the Slovak Republic) is a beautiful and exotic country
right at the heart of Europe. It borders Austria, the
Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Ukraine. The Carpathian Mountains
cross the northern area of the country, the famous High
Tatras Mountains provide excellent skiing.
The Danube River flows through
Slovakia, connecting it with Vienna and Budapest. Slovakia is famed
for its mountainous terrain but is also composed of
fertile lowland areas in the south-west and many forested
areas which are home to many interesting wildlife including
